Finn Wolfhard recently took on the role of host for an episode of Saturday Night Live, though some sketches didn’t make the final broadcast.
A sketch that was cut from the live show was uploaded to YouTube, featuring the Stranger Things actor mimicking the Duffer Brothers as he spearheaded a brainstorming session for the third season of Euphoria.
The brainstorming group included contributors from Sex Education (Marcello Hernández and Jane Wickline), a writer from Industry (Chloe Fineman), and a writer from Reba and Happy’s Place, portrayed by James Austin Johnson.
Johnson’s character, Chester Barnhill, described his NBC show, stating, “It’s like Reba, but set in a bar.”

Chester dominated the session with his over-the-top suggestions for Euphoria Season 3.
As the team discussed escalating the drama following Rue’s heroin overdose, Chester pitched ideas that seemed more fitting for a sitcom than a drama series.
He suggested, “What if Rue was a chocoholic instead of an alcoholic? Picture this: Rue wakes up surrounded by chocolate wrappers. Then, the busty one enters [holding up a photo of Sydney Sweeney] and says, ‘Has anyone seen my Christmas candy?’ Rue responds, ‘Can we not?’”
When asked if he had ever watched Euphoria, Chester described it as “Peanuts, but with teenagers.”
Another of Chester’s ideas involved a sex scene, which caused him to spit his coffee on a colleague, played by Fineman.
Shocked, he exclaimed, “You can’t show that on TV! Who wants to watch a scene like that?”
Noting that “the audience loves a good laugh,” Chester was corrected that Euphoria does not have a live studio audience and was advised to refrain from making any more pitches until he grasped the tone of the series.
Yet, Chester couldn’t resist proposing another outlandish scenario: “Imagine the Euphoria crew winning a trip to Hawaii, where Zendaya discovers an idol, causing a volcano to rumble. They think they might have to sacrifice a virgin.”
He continued, “Then the busty one looks at the camera and says, ‘Marked safe from the volcano.’”
The team’s patience worn thin, they asked Chester to leave. However, Wolfhard’s character saw potential in the Hawaii idea and decided to “fix” the direction of the HBO drama.
