As the climax of Season 34 nears, Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas, favorites on Dancing with the Stars, encountered some disappointing news.
Just one day after they announced a giveaway of tickets to the live event, the duo revealed that ABC and BBC decided to cancel the giveaway, although they are exploring alternative options.
“We have to share some unfortunate news,” Leavitt explained in a TikTok video. “Right after today’s rehearsal, we learned that our planned giveaway for the Dancing with the Stars live show can no longer proceed.”

Ballas explained, “This decision was made by ABC and BBC directly, and unfortunately, it’s beyond our control.”
Leavitt added, “It’s really disappointing because all we wanted was to create a special experience for all of you who have supported us so tremendously. But don’t worry, we’re brainstorming other ways to give back to you.”
The star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and her dance partner have been standout performers in Season 34, recently achieving a combined score of 72 across Weeks 5 and 6.
The next Dancing with the Stars live episode is set to air on Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC, with the finale scheduled for November 25.
