Miles Teller took on the roles of twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott in a recorded sketch for Saturday Night Live, lampooning the Canadian show Property Brothers. In the sketch, the duo faces their “most formidable project to date” — renovating the White House ballroom for none other than President Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson.
Throughout the sketch, as they tackle Trump’s increasingly bizarre and demanding renovation ideas, the brothers also encounter growing personal tensions and frustrations between themselves.
The segment kicks off with the brothers inspecting the property. Trump boasts about his “exquisite taste in decor,” a sentiment he attributes to his preference for placing extravagant golden urns excessively throughout the premises.

While the brothers admire Melania Trump’s (played by Chloe Fineman) haunting Halloween-themed decor, she dryly comments, “Those are for Christmas.”
In the midst of the renovations, Trump opts to replace a historical portrait of FDR with an artwork depicting himself as a warrior from the video game Halo. He also has grand plans to transform the Rose Garden into a setting reminiscent of a chain restaurant’s outdoor dining area, claiming his budget is “somewhere between $350 million and infinity.”
Amidst laughter, the brothers recall how Trump dismissed the need for a construction permit, jokingly suggesting he could build the ballroom with “the bones of my enemies” and no one would dare to intervene.
Trump’s vision board for the project includes an eclectic mix of images, such as photos of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Jabba the Hutt, the notorious gangster from Star Wars.
Further eccentric renovation ideas from Trump include setting up an MMA ring inside the White House for fights, which he crudely describes as entertainment.
The sketch takes a turn when Trump reacts to a text message with a gif of the White House exploding, signaling the brothers to begin demolishing the East Wing. However, a government shutdown complicates matters, forcing them to employ Park Rangers and astronauts for the demolition. When they find that all construction workers have been deported, Trump quips about recruiting only “white” day laborers, humorously failing to find any from Norway or Sweden.
Melania, envisioning a long future in the White House, remarks that they are preparing for Trump’s third term, with Trump adding, “We’re not leaving. We’re gonna do something called ‘coup!’”
As the sketch wraps up, the Property Brothers ask Trump for their payment, leading him to promptly call ICE on them, poking fun at their Canadian origins.
