Lisa Rinna Blames Fans For ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’ Exit: “They Villainized Me”

Lisa Rinna attributed her departure from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the backlash from the show’s audience.

Following an eight-year stint, Rinna made her exit from the popular Bravo reality series in 2023. Initially celebrated for her straightforward approach with fellow cast members, she ultimately felt abandoned by the fans towards the end of her time on the series.

During an appearance on the Therapuss podcast, Rinna discussed how she dealt with the harsh critiques from the show’s vocal online community.

“The final seasons were tough due to the onslaught of social media criticism,” Rinna explained about the negative feedback she endured from viewers.

Rinna noted that the anonymity of social media emboldened people to “say anything and everything,” and stressed that “it was the fans who drove me away from the show, not Bravo or my co-stars. They made me out to be the villain, and I just couldn’t live that way anymore. That’s the reality of the situation.”

Since leaving RHOBH, Rinna has thrived in the realms of fashion and modeling. Despite receiving pleas from viewers to make a comeback, she remains hesitant.

“The fans need to realize that their actions are the reason I left, and I doubt they’re willing to acknowledge that,” she asserted. “I departed because the fan base turned against me.”

She added, “It’s common for the fan base to eventually turn on everyone, but in my case, it reached a point where I decided life was too short to put up with it. It became overwhelming.”

Handling the hostility from fans became particularly unbearable for Rinna as she mourned her mother’s death, describing the experience as “just too much.”

Recently, the former RHOBH star launched a new podcast with her husband titled Let’s Not Talk About the Husband.
