As the holiday weekend wraps up, Jon Stewart made a comeback on The Daily Show to discuss Donald Trump’s controversial Thanksgiving speech.
In a contentious post on Thanksgiving Day, Trump used an offensive term to describe Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, referring to him as “seriously re****ed.” Stewart sharply criticized the former president for his choice of words and pointed out that Trump even reiterated his statement.
“On Thanksgiving?! Is he confusing it with Festivus?” Stewart exclaimed. He continued, “And ‘seriously re****ed’? Not even something milder like how you might describe Mr. Bean, you know? Or even a festive version like in that Black Eyed Peas song? They got lucky that ‘started’ rhymes with it.

Stewart went on to describe how the press had to spend their entire holiday weekend at Mar-a-Lago absorbing Trump’s rambling tirades, only to travel back with him and attempt to make sense of his comments.
“What is going on here?! When Ken Burns eventually covers this period…” Stewart mused, imitating Burns’ documentary style.
What began as a seemingly innocent Thanksgiving greeting quickly devolved when Trump labeled Walz “seriously re****ed” in a post on Truth Social. He later added that “there’s something wrong with Walz,” whose son has a non-verbal learning disorder.
“This is classic Donald Trump,” Walz responded on Meet the Press. “He’s made it normal to exhibit this kind of hateful behavior and use such language. Initially, it might seem like it’s just because he’s not a good person. But it’s also a distraction from his own failures.”
Walz continued, “Often, it’s about treating people with decency and making them feel welcome. Sure, you can choose to use that language, but you shouldn’t. And that’s something Donald Trump doesn’t seem to grasp.”
