Greg Davies, known for his role as the host of Taskmaster, is set to emcee the BAFTA Television Awards in May.
Davies, also famous for his roles in The Inbetweeners and The Cleaner, will replace Alan Cumming as the host for the 2025 BAFTA TV ceremony.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre on May 10, 2026. This will mark BAFTA’s first significant gathering since the Film Awards, which gained attention for airing racial comments made by Tourette’s advocate John Davidson.
The nominations for all the competitive categories within the BAFTA Television Awards and the BAFTA Television Craft Awards will be announced on Tuesday at noon, local time. The Netflix series Adolescence is anticipated to be a major contender, following its success this awards season.
Davies commented, “I view the entire ceremony as a chance to celebrate this cherished form of entertainment. Aside from one commissioner, two executives, and a fellow actor with whom I have personal issues, I am committed to ensuring that the evening is a joyous celebration for everyone involved.”
