Kyle Brandt Opens Up About ‘Good Morning Football’ Changes
Kyle Brandt is thrilled with the NFL Network program, even with occasional on-air chaos.

Major Adjustments to Good Morning Football

This season, Good Morning Football saw significant changes, including relocating from New York to Los Angeles. This shift led to the departure of Jason McCourty, while Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, and Peter Schrager stayed on. Schrager and Brandt continue to contribute mostly from New York via remote appearances.

During a recent episode of SI Media with Jimmy Traina, Brandt shared his thoughts on the new arrangement of GMFB and his overall experience this season.

“I’m very satisfied,” Brandt stated. “Initially, I was frequently in Los Angeles to help launch the show. I still visit occasionally, which allows me to participate in ‘Angry Runs’ right in the studio, where I get to energetically engage with the set.”

Brandt pointed out that the hybrid format of the show suits him well. “It’s basically me and Peter at the table, joking around and occasionally making cheeky references,” he explained. “We also have a fantastic team in Los Angeles who we connect with remotely.”

“If I had been added to the show remotely a few years back, I would have been baffled. But after several years of experience with remote broadcasting, it feels natural. It’s a setup similar to what I’ve seen on ESPN for years. It’s beneficial that I’m still physically there with Peter, so we can continue our usual antics.”

Despite the benefits, Brandt humorously mentioned one drawback of remote interactions.

“The main issue is when everyone starts talking at once—it’s the worst. It’s like that awkward dance when you can’t decide which way to go in a narrow hallway, except it happens live on air while discussing sports. It’s incredibly frustrating, even if it happens rarely,” he lamented.
