Gary Lineker and Amelia Dimoldenberg have been announced as key speakers for this year’s Edinburgh TV Festival.
Gary Lineker, the celebrated former host of Match of the Day, currently stationed in New York to present Netflix’s daily World Cup show, is set to engage in a discussion on the festival’s opening day with Adam Hawkins, the chair of the event.
Amelia Dimoldenberg, a prominent UK content creator known for her interviews with major Hollywood stars, will also feature on the same day as Lineker.
During the festival, Lineker will share insights into his ventures with Goalhanger Entertainment and reflect on his recent departure from the BBC, which was surrounded by controversy.
Dimoldenberg plans to delve into the nuances of her craft, which she has honed over the last decade, including aspects of performance direction, casting, and creating engaging content through meticulously timed awkward pauses.

Additional sessions and speakers will be announced leading up to the festival, which will mark its final iteration in Edinburgh before moving to Manchester. The prestigious MacTaggart Lecture will be delivered by Pedro Pina, the head of YouTube EMEA.
The Edinburgh TV Festival is scheduled from August 25 to August 28.
