Big Brother honored former contestant Mickey Lee during the opening episode of Season 28 on CBS.
Just as the latest season kicked off and the new participants made their entrance into the show, the program featured a memorial title card for Lee.
The card displayed the message, “In loving memory,” as a tribute to Lee, visible below.
Lee passed away on the night of December 25th last year after suffering multiple cardiac arrests at the age of 35.
“Mickey Lee’s family is deeply saddened to announce her passing this Christmas evening,” stated a post on Lee’s Instagram. “Mickey won over the hearts of people across the country with her role on Big Brother, where she was celebrated for her genuineness, resilience, and vibrant spirit, which made a profound impact on viewers and her fellow contestants.”

The family’s statement added, “She will be forever cherished for the happiness she spread and the sincere relationships she built, both during and after the show.”
The Lee family expressed their “deepest thanks to all those who have provided prayers, love, and support during this difficult period. Your compassion has been a comfort and is greatly valued.”

Born March 31, 1990, in Jacksonville, FL, Lee was a participant in Big Brother Season 27. She was voted out by her housemates during the eighth week of the show.
