Introducing “Charmer”: A New Drama Series on Sky
Anthony Boyle, known from House of Guinness, is set to lead in the new Sky drama series Charmer. He plays a professional seducer who is employed by affluent clients to test the loyalty of their partners. This provocative role places him at the center of a narrative that explores themes of trust and temptation.
Joining Boyle in this sultry eight-episode series are Siena Kelly (Black Mirror), Connor Swindells (The Entertainment System is Down), and Sophie Wilde (Digger). The cast also includes Sam Delich, Vivian Oparah, Neil Maskell, Karan Gill, Sophie Simnett, and Polly Walker.
Production and Release Details
The series is currently in production, with Working Title and Story Films producing in collaboration with Universal Global Television and Sky Studios. It is scheduled to be broadcast on Sky and its streaming service Now in the UK and Italy. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution will manage the international sales for the series.
Plot Overview
Charmer revolves around a dynamic group of individuals in their thirties living in London. Their lives take an unexpected turn due to the actions of Ryan (played by Boyle), a professional who tests how faithful wealthy individuals’ partners are. As Ryan gets closer to a client’s wedding day, he finds himself personally invested in an assignment, blurring the lines between professional duties and personal feelings. This threatens the detachment that has always been crucial in his line of work. As he navigates through webs of deceit and burgeoning desires, Ryan faces the danger of violating his fundamental rule: never fall in love.
