Grizzwald ‘Grizz’ Chapman, beloved for his role as Grizz on the NBC hit show 30 Rock throughout its seven seasons, has passed away at the age of 52.
His long-standing agent, Saideh A. Brown, confirmed to TMZ that Chapman passed away on Friday. Further details about his death, including the cause, have yet to be disclosed.
Chapman was born on April 16, 1974, in Brooklyn and stood at an impressive height of seven feet. His journey into acting began when he was working as a bouncer at a strip club and met Tracy Morgan. Morgan then cast Chapman and Kevin Brown to play his character Tracy Jordan’s close friends, Grizz and Dot Com, on 30 Rock, which aired from 2006 to 2013.
Chapman also ventured into creating his own content with the YouTube variety show Grizz Chronicles and made appearances on shows like Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, and The Good Fight.

Previously, Chapman faced health challenges with kidney disease and actively worked as a spokesperson for the National Kidney Foundation.

Oh no! So sad – Grizz and Dot Com could easily have been blips that disappeared from the series very early on, but they were such good fun that they earnt their places in the ensemble.
