Chad Spodick, known for his role in the LGBTQ dating show Finding Prince Charming, has passed away at the age of 42.
The aviation entrepreneur’s passing was recently disclosed through a GoFundMe page created to assist with his funeral expenses and to provide for his mother and pets. No cause of death was provided.
“It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of our wonderful, caring, and generous son, brother, and friend, Chad,” said his friend Kate Werbowski on the fundraising page. “His unexpected departure has left us struggling to envision a world without his presence.
“Chad was someone who dedicated himself to uplifting others. He always encouraged his friends to pursue growth, stand up for themselves, and recognize their own value. His passion for animals was profound—he deeply cared for all living beings, particularly his four cherished dogs and his bird, Cosmo. Chad’s brightness made the world a better place, and his kindness touched all who knew him, radiating warmth every day.”

Werbowski added, “He leaves behind his mother, Felice, who now faces not only the deep sorrow of losing her son but also the sudden financial demands of funeral costs and ongoing expenses. As a community, we are rallying to support her and Chad’s beloved animals during this profoundly difficult time.”
Lance Bass, host of Finding Prince Charming, shared his condolences on his Instagram Story. “I am truly heartbroken about Chad’s sudden passing,” he expressed.
“He was a genuinely gentle and sweet soul who deeply loved his friends, family, and pets. I hope we all will remember him this way,” continued Bass. “Life is precious and can be fleeting, so remember to be kind and check in on your loved ones because you never know what someone is going through in private and tomorrow is not guaranteed. Fly high, my friend.”
In 2016, Spodick was featured on Logo’s Finding Prince Charming, a reality dating series similar to The Bachelor but focused on gay men, where contestants competed for the affection of interior designer Robert Sepúlveda Jr. Spodick left the show during Week 6.
Besides his television appearance, Spodick was also a real estate agent and a flight attendant who co-founded the private aviation charter service, Goldsuite Jets, in 2020.
