New Changes in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Team
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are experiencing some shifts within their staff structure. Recently, four members of their team decided to leave their positions. This change comes after Meredith Maines, formerly of Google, Hulu, and *American Idol*, was appointed as their inaugural chief communications officer earlier this year, according to Deadline.
Among those who left are Kyle Boulia, who served as the deputy press secretary based in Los Angeles, and Charlie Gipson, a press officer in the UK. Both Boulia and Gipson were brought on board last March. These recent departures are part of a larger trend; since the couple stepped back from their royal duties, at least 22 individuals have exited their team, with six of those departures occurring in the past two months.
Recent Strategic Hires
In other staffing news, Prince Harry and Meghan have been making significant additions to their team. Emily Robinson, previously with Netflix, was hired as their director of communications. They have also engaged the services of Method Communications. Additionally, Meghan Markle appointed Sarah Fosmo, who once worked as Bill Gates’ assistant, as her chief of staff just last month.
In a notable move last year, their global press secretary and head of communications, Ashley Hansen, left to start her own firm but kept Harry and Meghan as clients. The Duke of Sussex’s chief of staff, Josh Kettler, also left the team after a trial period.
This series of changes highlights the evolving nature of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s professional support team as they continue to define their roles and responsibilities away from the traditional royal framework.
