Jehiem Oatis, a former defensive tackle at Alabama, has officially joined the Colorado Buffaloes, an ESPN report confirms. Oatis, who was a highly touted 4-star prospect in the 2022 high school batch according to 247Sports, still has two years of college eligibility left.
Regarded as one of the key transfer prospects this season, Oatis will now benefit from the guidance of Colorado’s defensive line coach Damione Lewis and Warren Sapp, a Pro Football Hall of Famer who serves as a defensive analyst for the team.
After undergoing surgeries in the off-season following his last season, Oatis missed spring camp but returned in a limited role on the defensive line. Midway through the season, he opted to redshirt and leave the Crimson Tide.
During his two-year stint with Alabama, Oatis accumulated 52 tackles, managed 1.5 sacks, and deflected five passes.
