Caitlin Clark Playing in RSM Classic Pro-Am, Week After LPGA Circus

Just one week after participating in an LPGA pro-am event, WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark is stepping onto the greens again, this time at the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic pro-am. She’s not the only high-profile athlete in attendance; football legend Tom Brady is also making an appearance.

Caitlin Clark Hits the Golf Course Again

Caitlin Clark is back in action at the golf course. Following her recent appearance at the Annika pro-am on the LPGA Tour, as reported by Golf Channel, the WNBA star is now set to showcase her skills at the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic pro-am.

The guard for the Indiana Fever is scheduled to play the back nine at Sea Island’s Plantation Course. She’ll be in good company, playing alongside fellow Iowan Zach Johnson and PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan, who started their round on the front nine at 8:30 a.m., according to the tournament’s pro-am tee sheet.

Noteworthy Pro-Am Pairings

The excitement around Wednesday’s pro-am event at the RSM Classic spiked with the announcement that Caitlin Clark would be joining Zach Johnson and Jay Monahan. The blend of athletic talents from different sports adds a unique flavor to the event.

In addition to her time on the course, Clark is also slated to participate in the event’s charity putting contest around 3:30 p.m. She will serve as an honorary caddie for children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia and for Special Olympians, adding a philanthropic element to her participation.

Clark’s Growing Influence in Golf

Clark’s involvement in golf events like the 2023 John Deere Classic pro-am with Johnson and last week’s game with legends such as Annika Sorenstam and World No. 1 Nelly Korda has not only drawn large crowds but also garnered significant attention. Sorenstam remarked on the unusual size of the crowd for a Wednesday, noting the presence of many young girls with signs as something extraordinary for a typical pro-am day. “It’s just great how it brings attention to the tournament,” she added.

Star-Studded Event

Clark will be among several notable figures at Sea Island, with Tom Brady also hitting the links. He is set to play alongside the RSM Classic’s defending champion, Ludvig Åberg, which promises to be another highlight of the tournament.

As these athletes cross over into different sports realms, their participation not only enriches the event itself but also brings wider attention and excitement, bridging fan bases and enhancing the spectator experience.
