UPDATE: Latest Announcement: The seventh-ranked Notre Dame will clash with the eighth-ranked Ohio State in the upcoming College Football Playoff championship game. This much-anticipated match is scheduled for Monday, January 20 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, with the game kicking off at 7:30 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. ESPN will broadcast the event live and will provide an extensive Megacast coverage, offering 11 different viewing options across its networks, ESPN+ and the app.
The main broadcast on ESPN will feature Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Holly Rowe, and Molly McGrath as the commentators. Programming will commence early in the day with the College GameDay pregame show beginning at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.
The game will be available in 4K quality for the first time through various service providers including Comcast, DirecTV, Dish Network, Optimum, Sling TV, Verizon, and YouTube TV.

Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show will feature McAfee and his team including AJ Hawk, Darius Butler, Connor Campbell, Ty Schmit, and Tone Digs providing sideline commentary.
Command Center on ESPNU will offer a multi-angle view and integrate live player and team statistics. This feed will include four primary video streams: the main ESPN broadcast, SkyCam, and two head coach cams.
SkyCast on ESPNNews will position a camera above the field, providing a unique birds-eye view mostly from behind the offense.
ESPN Deportes will host the Spanish-language broadcast featuring Eduardo Varela, Pablo Viruega, Katia Castorena, and Ciro Procuna.
The playoff brackets were solidified on December 8, marking the debut of a 12-team format aimed to determine the national champion. Both Notre Dame and Ohio State advanced to the championship by defeating higher-seeded teams.
Teams from the West including Oregon, Arizona State, and Boise State, all conference champions, secured first-round byes alongside Georgia, which defeated Texas in the SEC championship game.
These teams faced the winners from the first round in quarterfinal matches held from December 31 to January 1, with subsequent games including the semifinals on January 9-10 broadcasted on ABC and ESPN.
