Tyreek Hill Says ‘I’m Out’ Comment to Dolphins Was Meant As a Wake-Up Call

Tyreek Hill’s actions during the Miami Dolphins’ last game of the season sparked speculations about his future with the team. Following the game, the five-time All-Pro openly stated he was “out,” suggesting a potential departure in the off-season.

However, while streaming the popular video game Fortnite on Twitch, Hill clarified that his remarks were meant to motivate the Dolphins’ management.

“What you all heard after the season was just my frustration speaking,” Hill explained. “I’ve always been on winning teams, man. Every day I work my tail off. I earned the right to feel upset; I’ve earned my right to voice my opinion. You think I should just say, ‘Well, maybe next year?’ Hell no.”

“We need to regroup. We need to challenge the front office to do better. Bring some real competitors into this locker room. I’m here to compete, and I love it, man.”

Earlier in the month, Dolphins’ head coach Mike McDaniel reported that he had a one-hour talk with Hill, acknowledging his star receiver’s competitive nature but stressing that such behavior was “unacceptable” and would not be tolerated going forward.

Chris Grier, the Dolphins’ general manager, confirmed that Hill had not officially requested a trade. Shortly thereafter, Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and asserted that Hill is “fully committed” to the Dolphins.

“Tyreek is truly dedicated to winning,” Rosenhaus commented. “Just reaching the playoffs isn’t enough for him. Ultimately, he’s dedicated to this Dolphins team.”

“I believe Tyreek is an incredible asset for the Dolphins, and frankly, he’s the last person anyone should be worried about in this organization. There are bigger issues they need to address; Tyreek isn’t one of them.”

Since transferring from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Dolphins in March 2022, Hill has enhanced his performance, surpassing 1,700 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons, despite a downturn in the team’s offense without Tua Tagovailoa in 2024.

Even though the Dolphins ended the season strongly, they missed the playoffs with an 8-9 record. Hill believes that’s not acceptable and is willing to do whatever it takes to prevent a repeat.
