‘Alien: Earth’ Key Art Shares Terrifying New Look At Xenomorph

With the summer premiere of the new FX series Alien: Earth fast approaching, the network is unveiling exciting new visuals and interviews. Most recently, they shared a piece of key art named “XenoDome,” which offers a closer and more eerie look at the Xenomorph with a focus on its enormous head, visible below.

Created by Noah Hawley, Alien: Earth unfolds two years prior to the events of the iconic 1979 movie Alien.

The series plot reveals, “Following the mysterious crash-landing of a space vessel on Earth, a young woman together with a makeshift team of tactical soldiers uncovers a pivotal secret. Their discovery brings them face-to-face with the most formidable threat on the planet in this sci-fi horror saga Alien: Earth.

As the team assigned to salvage the wreckage searches for survivors, they stumble upon enigmatic predatory entities far beyond their worst nightmares. Triggered by this newfound peril, the crew is thrust into a brutal fight for survival. The decisions they make in the wake of their finding could potentially alter the future of Earth.

The ensemble cast features Sydney Chandler at the helm, with Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.

“There’s something profoundly unsettling about witnessing a Xenomorph on Earth with your own eyes,” Hawley shared with Deadline at the Emmy Awards in September. “It’s genuinely frightful to imagine it roaming among us, and while I won’t disclose the exact conditions of its appearance, rest assured, you will see it—and it will make you double-check your locks that night.”

In discussing his approach to the design of these iconic creatures, he remarked, “It was incredibly engaging to delve into the creature design, adding my personal touch while preserving the classic silhouette, which is iconic. The nature of the host influences the eventual appearance of each creature, and I aimed to tweak it just enough to maintain its legendary terror.”
