Ego Nwodim Lands First Gig Following ‘SNL’ Exit & Joins ‘The Comedy Series’ Lineup

Ego Nwodim has secured her debut performance since departing from Saturday Night Live.

She will take the stage at the Claire Tow Theater at Lincoln Center Theater in New York City. The performances are scheduled from November 19 to November 23, and tickets will be available for purchase starting October 20 at 10 a.m. ET.

Nwodim’s upcoming performance is part of The Comedy Series, alongside other comics like Vir Das, Jerrod Carmichael, and Sam Jay. This series is touted as an opportunity for the comedians to push boundaries, craft new content, and delve into the interplay of humor and reality.

The press release states, “Each show will be unique, reflecting the dynamic nature of creative expression. It’s a live evolution of comedy unfolding right before your eyes.”

Despite expectations of her return for SNL Season 51, Nwodim revealed her decision to leave the iconic NBC late-night program after a seven-season stint.

In an Instagram post confirming her exit, she expressed, “Deciding when to leave a great party is tough, but after seven memorable seasons, it’s time for me to say goodbye to SNL. I’m deeply thankful to Lorne [Michaels] for this incredible chance, and to all my castmates, the writers, and crew for their genius, support, and camaraderie. The experiences on that stage have taught me immensely, and I will always cherish the laughter and memories from my time there.”
