Iain Stirling, the narrator behind the scenes of Love Island USA, is well-known for his humorous takes on the show’s participants each evening.
Recently, Stirling shared his thoughts on one of his quips on the Peacock reality series that failed to resonate with the audience.
During an interview, Stirling recounted a remark he made about the popular contestant Jeremiah Brown, who was unexpectedly voted off by other participants. After his departure, fans remained hopeful he would reappear on the series to pursue his interrupted journey with Huda Mustafa.
In Episode 21, as Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe made their way back into the villa after being voted off, Stirling humorously commented that Jeremiah was returning as their waiter for their date.

“I’ll admit, I may have misjudged that one,” Stirling told E! News. “I honestly thought it would be taken as a playful homage since we seldom revisit past contestants, but generally, I avoid making jokes about islanders after they’ve left. It’s usually only a parting joke, so this was a bit unusual.”

Stirling explained that mentioning Jeremiah post-departure was “truly meant as an affectionate gesture,” adding, “I assumed it would be received as, ‘Oh, that’s clever.’ He played a significant role on the show. While some fans saw it that way, unfortunately, others did not, and for that, I apologize.”
Not only does Stirling provide the commentary for Love Island USA, but he also continues his role with Love Island UK on ITV2.
