Joe Gatto of ‘Impractical Jokers’ Refutes Sexual Assault Claim, Admits to ‘Poor Judgment’

Joe Gatto has publicly responded following allegations from a woman who claims the former Impractical Jokers star sexually assaulted her.

“In a lapse of judgment, I’ve broken the trust of those closest to me,” Gatto shared in a communication to various media. “However, those who truly know me understand that I am not capable of such actions. I am committed to self-improvement, and I will be stepping back from the public spotlight to concentrate on personal growth and family.”

A female TikTok user known as joozyb previously alleged that Gatto sexually assaulted her when she was 19. She recounted that the incident took place at a Milwaukee hotel following his performance in September 2023.

“Joe Gatto, from Impractical Jokers, sexually assaulted me,” she claimed in a video posted last Thursday. She mentioned that she has been discussing her encounter with Gatto for over a year and did not anticipate the sudden viral attention.

She also shared purported screenshots of their direct messages, where Gatto provided her with meet and greet passes, then switched their chat to vanish mode and invited her to his hotel room.

Additionally, she posted a photo showing bruises on her backside, which she claimed were caused by Gatto’s teeth. She added that this occurred shortly after he had reconciled with his wife.

“I’ve been wanting to share this for a long time,” she expressed. “I’ve attempted in various ways, but it’s challenging when dealing with a public figure of this stature. I’ve realized that speaking out truly means taking a stand.”

Gatto was a member of the Tenderloins comedy group along with Sal Vulcano, James Murray, and Brian Quinn, and starred in the TruTV hidden camera show Impractical Jokers from 2011 until 2021.
