The entertainment industry is deeply moved by the sudden passing of Julian McMahon at 56.
Julian McMahon, known for his roles in Charmed, Nip/Tuck, and the 2005 Fantastic Four film, passed away on Wednesday after a private struggle with cancer. His death has prompted an outpouring of heartfelt tributes from his colleagues and fans alike on various social platforms.
Nicolas Cage, who recently appeared with McMahon in the Cannes film The Surfer, expressed his condolences, stating, “Hearing this deeply saddens me. Julian was not only a superbly talented actor but also a genuinely kind and intelligent person. I cherished the six weeks we spent together on set. His presence will be profoundly missed by many, including myself.”
Rose McGowan, McMahon’s co-star in Charmed, shared her grief on Instagram, praising Julian as a “brilliant and wildly talented man.” She added, “I send prayers for comfort to his family and his many fans around the world.”

Holly Marie Combs, another Charmed co-star, posted videos and memories online, describing McMahon as “my favorite pain in the ass ever” and a person whose “crazy sense of humor and zest for life” will never be forgotten.
“Julian was truly one of a kind,” Combs added in her tribute. “I hope he’s dancing in rose petals somewhere now.”
Brian Krause commented, “Today is a sad day for our Charmed family. Julian had a spirit that was both humorous and heartwarmingly kind. He will be dearly missed.”
Kelly Carlson, who played McMahon’s wife on Nip/Tuck, shared her shock and sadness in a video, noting, “I didn’t even know he was ill.”
She fondly remembered McMahon, saying, “Julian was everything to Nip/Tuck—the energy, the charm, the humor. He lived a full and beautiful life, and I hope his passing was peaceful.”
Dylan Walsh, another Nip/Tuck co-star, expressed his devastation, reminiscing about their time together, “We shared many laughs and he always had my back. I’ll miss him dearly.”
Ioan Gruffudd, who starred alongside McMahon in the Fantastic Four films, also shared his condolences, noting the joy and light McMahon brought to their professional encounters.
Michael Chiklis, another member of the Fantastic Four cast, expressed his devastation, “Life is incredibly precious and fragile. My deepest condolences to his family.”
Dick Wolf, executive producer of the FBI series, also offered his sympathies, stating, “We at Wolf Entertainment are shocked and saddened by Julian’s passing.”
On Friday, Kelly McMahon, Julian’s wife, announced his peaceful passing after a brave fight against cancer. “Julian cherished life and everyone in it – his family, his friends, his work, and his fans. He always aimed to bring joy to others. We are profoundly grateful for the time we had with him and the joy he shared with us all,” she stated.
