BREAKING NEWS: Orange County Choppers Originals is gearing up for a European tour.
Hearst Networks has secured the UK broadcasting rights for the rejuvenated documentary series from Off The Fence, which recently became the worldwide representative (excluding the U.S.) for the show.
The refreshed series, which premiered in the U.S. across multiple Discovery platforms including Discovery Channel, Discovery Turbo TV, Discovery+, and Discovery GO in February, continues the legacy of the motorcycle franchise that started in 2002 with American Chopper. Central to the series is the Orange County Choppers custom bike shop. The excitement builds as a second season has been greenlit, with the episode count increasing to 12.
Before the debut of Orange County Choppers Originals, it had been since 2020 when the last episode of American Chopper: The Last Ride aired. This marked the end of a hiatus that lasted six years due to legal disputes between Paul Teutul Sr. and his son, Paul Teutul Jr., who are the main figures in the show. Fortunately, the issues were resolved, leading to their on-screen reunion.
The deal with Hearst, orchestrated by OTF’s SVP North America and Global Networks, Sam Thompson, and Hearst Networks’ Acquisitions Manager, Hannah Gray, marks the first international agreement for the series revival.

Set in Teutul Sr.’s workshop in Florida, Orange County Choppers Originals focuses on his return to the roots with some original crew members and new faces. The series also gives viewers a peek into his personal life, highlighting his dedication to charity, animal welfare, and his hobby farm.
Hearst’s Gray commented, “Orange County Choppers encompasses all the elements of captivating factual entertainment: impressive builds, dynamic personalities, and a lot of heart. With Paul Sr. back leading the narrative, we’re thrilled to present this new saga to our UK audience.”
In Orange County Choppers Original, each episode showcases the team tackling unique motorcycle builds for charity, navigating through engineering hurdles, tight schedules, and unforeseen obstacles, all culminating in either auctions or raffles to support various causes.
Joan Kay, co-CEO of OCC, stated, “There’s nothing quite like a comeback story, especially when it involves the revival of a legendary brand. And frankly, Paul Sr. is outdoing himself. We are excited about our partnership with OTF for the global relaunch as they share our vision of meaningful entertainment and boast a robust international network and platform reach.”
“This isn’t just a show; it’s a cultural phenomenon that rekindles enthusiasm among fans and boosts the motorcycle culture. We’re eager for everyone to watch,” added Kay.
OTF’s Thompson remarked, “We embraced this opportunity with vigor, as the numbers are compelling. There’s a dedicated fanbase eager for more content, proven by strong viewership, engagement, and commercial success. We’re particularly pleased to have Hearst Networks as a distinguished broadcast partner and are excited about the upcoming global rollout of this exceptional series.”
The American Chopper series has been broadcast in 160 territories and translated into 35 languages globally. With OTF’s recent acquisition, a fresh opportunity awaits potential buyers at the upcoming MIPCOM event in Cannes, France, scheduled in just under two weeks.
