Nation’s Dumbest is a proven concept that has been successful internationally, challenging celebrities to channel their inner student as they return to summer school. The competition involves a mix of cerebral puzzles, dynamic physical challenges, and forgotten school subjects. Each episode sees the ‘smartest’ celebrity graduate, progressively reducing the contestant pool until the final showdown determines the last one standing — earning the dubious honor of being named The Nation’s Dumbest.

The show, adapted from a Montreaux Films format, is executive produced by Ryan O’Dowd, Krystal Whitney, and Jenny Groom from BBC Studios, with James Breen and Michael O’Sullivan also serving as executive producers. Breen takes on the role of showrunner.
