The Night Agent is set to return for another season, and this was confirmed even before the launch of Season 2.
The popular series released its 10-episode second season on January 23 on Netflix, after being postponed to the new year from an initially planned late 2024 debut.

When will The Night Agent Season 3 be released?
While a specific premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, Season 3 is anticipated to air in 2026. Netflix commissioned the writers’ room for the next installment prior to the release of Season 2, with a production unit set up in Istanbul at the end of 2024 and filming scheduled to start in New York on February 3, 2025.

Has production begun for The Night Agent Season 3?
Yes, production has kicked off, with Netflix, Sony Pictures TV, and Basso providing a sneak peek at the commencement of production and an upcoming reverse 180 stunt.
Shawn Ryan, the creator of the series, had previously confirmed the production start date for Season 3 to Deadline, although the scriptwriting wasn’t completed at that point in mid-January.
“We’re still writing the final few episodes. We’ll finish them before starting the New York segment of our shoot, which kicks off on February 3,” he mentioned in a post-mortem interview following the Season 2 premiere on Netflix.

Gabriel Basso is set to return as Peter Sutherland, the lead character of the series.

Amanda Warren, who joined Season 2 as a series regular, is expected to return, playing Peter’s Night Action boss Catherine Weaver.
Ward Horton and Albert Jones, who were introduced in Season 2, have been promoted to series regulars for the upcoming third season of Netflix’s The Night Agent, as exclusively reported by Deadline. Horton plays Governor Richard Hagan who is poised to become the next U.S. President, and Jones as Deputy Director Aiden Mosely.
Season 3 of the show will introduce its highest-profile new cast to date, with three new series regulars who have led their own shows, David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, and Stephen Moyer. Lyons will play a former spy lured out of retirement, Morrison will play the First Lady, and Moyer will play a top hitman
They join fellow new series regulars Genesis Rodriguez (Lioness), whose pending casting was revealed in November, and child actor Callum Vinson (Chucky). Additionally, Suraj Sharma (How I Met Your Father) has been tapped as recurring. Rodriguez will play a reporter.
