Latest Casting Updates for Showtime’s “Dexter: Resurrection”
EXCLUSIVE: Marc Menchaca, known for his role in Ozark, and Reese Antoinette from Bad Monkey have officially signed on for guest star roles in the upcoming Showtime series Dexter: Resurrection. Menchaca will portray a character named Red, while Antoinette will take on the role of Joy, the determined daughter of Blessing Kamara, played by Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine.
The production of the sequel to Dexter: New Blood, helmed by showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, began in January in New York. The series is slated for a summer premiere on Paramount+ via Showtime.
Michael C. Hall is back as the infamous serial killer Dexter Morgan. The series will also see the return of David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan. Additionally, David Magidoff will reprise his role as Teddy Reed from the Iron Lake Police Department. Notably, in late March, the return of John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits was confirmed, reprising their roles as The Trinity Killer, Arthur Mitchell, and Miguel Prado, respectively.
New faces joining the cast include Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, and Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara. Other newcomers are Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera. Guest stars such as Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian will appear as Lowell, Mia, Al, and Gareth, respectively.

Dexter: Resurrection is produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios with Clyde Phillips returning as both executive producer and showrunner. Michael C. Hall also serves as an executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. Marcos Siega is on board as the producing director. Monica Raymund is slated to direct four episodes, and Siega will direct six episodes. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
Marc Menchaca has previously starred in HBO’s The Outsiders and portrayed Vic Walker in American Rust. He is represented by Independent Artist Group and TMT Entertainment Group.
Reese Antoinette has recently been seen as Dawnie in Apple TV’s popular series Bad Monkey, starring Vince Vaughn. A graduate of NYU Tisch MFA in Acting and the British American Drama Academy at Oxford University, she is represented by Framework Entertainment.
