As AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon nears the conclusion of its next-to-last season, enthusiasts were given a sneak peek at New York Comic Con about the developments to expect.
At the Season 3 panel for the show, attendees were shown a touching scene between Daryl (played by Norman Reedus) and Carol (played by Melissa McBride) from the season’s final episode, along with a look behind the scenes of the upcoming Season 4.
In a key moment from the Season 3 finale titled ‘Solace of the Sea’, Daryl opens up to Carol on a beach, confessing his struggles with the idea of settling down, fearful that he might not be able to stay put once they return home.
Watch on Deadline
In the preview for Season 4, Reedus and McBride are seen filming scenes in Spain. McBride expresses hope that fans will continue to watch, promising that it will surpass Season 3, while Reedus excitedly claims they are “killing it on Season 4.”
The panel on Friday featured Norman Reedus, who also serves as an executive producer, along with ‘Walking Dead’ Universe Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple, showrunner and executive producer David Zabel, and executive producer/director Greg Nicotero.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the fifth spin-off from the original The Walking Dead series (2010-2022), follows the characters Daryl and Carol as they make their way back to their loved ones after finding themselves in France, the birthplace of the zombie apocalypse.
In July, the series was greenlit for its fourth and ultimate season.
