Cristiano Ronaldo Teams Up With Matthew Vaughn & Damian Lewis for Star-Studded Drama Series!

Following an underwhelming performance at the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo is apparently diving into a new venture.

Reports from The Sun indicate that the renowned Portuguese footballer is collaborating with Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn on a television series centered around a British soccer agent. The series is set to star Damian Lewis alongside several prominent figures from the world of football.

Originating from an idea by soccer agent Darren Dein, the series titled Day 1s has commenced filming in London. It revolves around the fictional life of a soccer agent named Stanley Dalton. Other notable appearances are expected from Thierry Henry and rapper Dave. The series has been likened to a recent Brazilian series on Globo called The Playoffs, which featured Cauã Reymond.

Ronaldo is not only acting in Day 1s but also serving as an executive producer. This show marks the debut project from his UR•Marv Studios, a collaboration with Vaughn’s Marv Studios unveiled last year.

The joint venture studio has already produced two action movies and aims to “combine innovative technology with traditional filmmaking.”

Vaughn is known for his work on films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Layer Cake, and X-Men: First Class, in addition to the Kingsman series.

Ronaldo, currently playing for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, is 41 years old and contemplating his next steps following Portugal’s World Cup exit in the round of 16 at the hands of Spain, the eventual champions. The football legend, considered one of the all-time greats, spent the majority of his illustrious career with Real Madrid and Manchester United.
