My Method for Preparing Trader Joe’s Firm Tofu

As a regular tofu cook, I’ve perfected a method for achieving perfectly crispy tofu. Once I’ve selected a recipe, I use this technique and then incorporate the crispy tofu into a simmering sauce, enhancing the dish’s flavor and texture.

  5. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the tofu is as crispy as you like.

My favorite dishes to make include soy-ginger tofu or honey-Sriracha tofu, typically served over a bed of rice and steamed veggies. Depending on what’s available, I might switch it up with a fresh spring mix, pasta, or even add toppings like avocado or cashews. For convenience, I often use ready-made sauces such as Trader Joe’s Soyaki, and opt for instant rice. With crispy tofu as the base, the possibilities are endless.
