• Why It’s a Favorite: These quick-cooking frozen dumplings are stuffed with a flavorful mix of cabbage, carrots, radishes, and chives. They’re a fantastic, speedy meal solution, great alone, with a dipping sauce, or alongside rice and kimchi.
Imagine it’s midweek, and you’ve just had one of those days. You’re both mentally and physically drained, and you’re STARVING. You know the feeling. The idea of making dinner seems overwhelming, and nothing for takeout seems appealing either. You need something fast, simple, and tasty. Luckily, Trader Joe’s has you covered.
This item is frozen, so it’s convenient to keep on standby for when you need it. We’re talking about Trader Joe’s Thai Vegetable Gyoza.
These delightful dumplings are packed with cabbage, carrots, radishes, and chives. Each bag feeds three, containing 15 gyozas, all for just $4.79. You can cook them quickly by searing and steaming on the stove—it takes under 10 minutes. Alternatively, toss them in the air fryer at 400°F for six to eight minutes until they’re golden and thoroughly cooked.
The gyozas have a crispy exterior and are bursting with taste inside—they’re some of the best and most convenient vegetarian dumplings around, which is why we always keep a stock in our freezer.

Easy Evening Meals Featuring Trader Joe’s Gyoza
While TJ’s Thai Vegetable Gyoza doesn’t come with its own dipping sauce, we like it that way. We whip up a tasty dipping sauce by blending low-sodium soy sauce or tamari with a hint of sesame oil and sriracha for a spicy kick.
These potstickers can be a standalone meal, but if you want more volume or variety, pair them with rice and kimchi. We also like combining them with Trader Joe’s Organic Baked Teriyaki Tofu for added protein, or with Vegetable Fried Rice for a complete dish.
For a warm, comforting dish, boil some vegetable stock with sliced onions and minced garlic, toss in a handful of baby spinach and the gyozas, and season with sesame oil and soy sauce. It’s incredibly satisfying!
Although these gyozas are perfect for quick and easy weeknight dinners, they also make fantastic shareable appetizers. We love serving them to guests with a variety of dipping sauces—our homemade sesame soy sauce, spicy mayo, and peanut sauce. A trio of dips with gyozas? Absolutely unbeatable, and your guests will definitely agree.
