On Wednesday morning, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the list of 25 modern-era semifinalists for induction in 2025.
This year’s semifinalists include six players eligible for the first time and 17 who were also semifinalists the previous year. See the full list below.

The initial pool of 167 nominees was narrowed down to these 25 semifinalists.
The selection process will continue as the modern-era players are further reduced to a list of 15 finalists, which will be announced in December.
Ultimately, 20 finalists, including those selected from the coaching and contributor categories, will be reviewed during the selection committee’s annual meeting.
The final announcement of the Class of 2025 will take place in New Orleans at the “NFL Honors” ceremony, the evening before Super Bowl LIX.
