The twice Golden Globe-nominated actress revealed that the much-anticipated next season of the Apple TV+ series is set to begin filming in July. She has enthusiastically agreed to continue her role as the owner of AFC Richmond.
“Just when we thought we had said our goodbyes, here it comes back to life!” Waddingham exclaimed on Capital FM, following what was believed to be the series’ conclusion in 2023.

“Our writing team is absolutely magical—they’re like Jedi Knights,” Waddingham praised. “We also have this incredible mix of genuinely feminist guys alongside fantastic women. The scripts reflect this dynamic beautifully—it’s very well-crafted.”
Apple officially renewed Ted Lasso for a fourth season last year, even though initially, co-creators Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly had envisioned a three-season arc.
