Netflix has announced that October 30 will mark the debut of the fourth season of The Witcher, featuring Liam Hemsworth stepping into the boots of Geralt of Rivia, a character previously portrayed by Henry Cavill. The streaming giant has also released the initial clip showcasing Hemsworth in this iconic role, which you can view above.
Following the dramatic events that concluded the third season, the upcoming episodes will explore the journeys of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri as they navigate a continent devastated by war and infested with demons, each on their separate paths. Their survival and hope of reuniting hinge on their ability to lead and unite the disparate groups they encounter.
Adding to the cast this season is Laurence Fishburne, portraying Regis, a beloved character from the Witcher novels and video games. First appearing in Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel Baptism of Fire, Regis is a knowledgeable barber-surgeon with a secretive past who joins Geralt’s adventures in Season 4.

The executive production team of The Witcher includes Steve Gaub, Matt O’Toole, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Lauren Schmidt, Platige Films (Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko), and Hivemind Content (Jason Brown and Sean Daniel).
