Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel revived their long-standing playful rivalry for a charitable cause during their recent stint on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Teaming up with Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings on the ABC quiz show’s Wednesday broadcast, Damon clinched the grand prize for his charity Water.org, dedicated to providing access to safe water in underserved areas.
“Doesn’t everyone just adore Matt Damon, except for Jimmy Kimmel?” quipped Jennings as they tackled the ultimate question together, eliciting applause from the studio audience.

As Kimmel began to jeer, Damon turned to the audience saying, “Thank you all! You’re really making him suffer right now.”
“This is turning into a revolt,” Kimmel accused Jennings. “I’ll bring someone you despise onto Jeopardy!”
Last week marked the premiere of the fourth season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, capturing the highest viewership of the evening with 4.24 million people tuning in, also making it ABC’s leading entertainment broadcast this summer.
Kimmel not only hosts but also executive produces the revitalized version of the game show, which first launched in 2020.
