Jeremy Clarkson has recently described himself as the “world’s luckiest man” following his recovery from two significant health scares that occurred during the filming of the fifth season of Clarkson’s Farm.
The ex-Top Gear host underwent a cardiac procedure in the premiere episode of the Amazon Prime Video series, and the season wrapped up with the shocking news of his cancer diagnosis.
Clarkson disclosed to his colleagues at Diddly Squat Farm, Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper, that he had been diagnosed with a type of “aggressive” cancer. Initially, he did not specify which part of his body was affected, but he later confirmed it was prostate cancer.

As of May 2025, more than a year later, Clarkson has shared that his cancer has entered remission following ultrasound treatment.
During a conversation with The Sunday Times, Clarkson mentioned that his treatment journey was fraught with complications, including the need for a catheter and a mishap involving blood-thinning medication that was incorrectly prescribed for his heart condition.
He alluded to these challenges in the final episode of Clarkson’s Farm Season 5. While in a hospital bed, he remarked, “Some of the treatment has gone wrong, to put it mildly. I’m going to be here for a bit… I don’t know what the outcome will be. If all goes well, I’ll be back for season 6. If not, well, I won’t.”
Clarkson did not delve into the specifics but described the experience to The Sunday Times as “horrific and entirely my own fault.” He elaborated, “The pain was off the charts, well beyond what you’d call critical.”
The former Grand Tour presenter also mentioned that a recent prostate exam showed no signs of cancer, confirming his remission status. He emphasized the importance of regular blood tests to keep an eye on his health.
Clarkson has become an advocate for regular health screenings, expressing his hope that his own story might inspire at least one viewer of Clarkson’s Farm to get checked. “If my experience leads just one person to detect their condition early, get the necessary treatment, and continue to live a healthy life, then sharing my journey is worth it,” he stated.
