Fans of Bosch will be excited to see Titus Welliver making his debut on an upcoming episode of The Equalizer. This appearance is particularly significant as it sets the stage for a potential spinoff series starring Welliver.
In the promotional image, Welliver is featured alongside Equalizer lead Queen Latifah, with Juani Feliz visible in silhouette in the background. As previously announced, Welliver and Feliz are poised to headline the proposed spinoff, though the project is still awaiting a green light. Their characters will first be seen in the “Sins of our Father” episode of The Equalizer, scheduled to air on April 20.
In the series, Welliver portrays Hudson Reed, a former CIA heavyweight harboring a dark secret, linked to Robyn McCall (played by Queen Latifah) through a mutual mentor. Feliz takes on the role of Samantha Reed, Hudson’s daughter, who is adept in weaponry, martial arts, and covert operations, all while concealing her own enigmatic history.
Catch It on Deadline
Both Welliver and Feliz join the cast as guest stars in this pivotal episode, with the possibility of becoming series regulars should the spinoff proceed.
The Equalizer, a modern take on the beloved classic series, features Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall, a mysterious woman with a complicated past who utilizes her extensive CIA training to assist those in desperate need.
The fifth season of the show also stars Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, Laya DeLeon Hayes, and Lorraine Toussaint.
Produced by Universal Television in collaboration with CBS Studios, The Equalizer boasts an impressive list of executive producers including Joseph C. Wilson, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah), Debra Martin Chase, Shakim Compere, John Davis, John Fox, Loretha Jones, and Rob Hanning.
Currently, Welliver stars in Bosch: Legacy on Prime Video, which is in its third and final season. He famously portrayed Harry Bosch throughout all seven seasons of the original Bosch series.
Feliz has recently appeared in Tracy Oliver’s Amazon series Harlem. Her other notable roles include appearances in Fleishman Is In Trouble, DMZ, the A24 movie Civil War, and the upcoming AMC series The Terror: Devil In Silver.
