Kate Hudson stars in Running Point, a new series from Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, portraying Isla Gordon, a character who’s definitely the underdog. She is the sole daughter of Jack Gordon, who had a number of other children, including Cam (played by Justin Theroux), Ness (Scott MacArthur), and their half-brother Sandy (Drew Tarver).
Together with her best friend Ali Lee (Brenda Song), Isla is poised to shake things up in the world of professional basketball with the Los Angeles Waves, especially after her recent promotion to team president. Facing skepticism from her brothers who doubt her ability and players who don’t take her seriously, Isla is determined to prove her mettle, armed with a deep understanding of the game from her childhood and a few tricks she’s kept up her sleeve.
