Danielle Fishel Reveals ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Injury: “Feels Better Than It Looks”

During her recent practice for Dancing with the Stars, Danielle Fishel experienced a humorous yet painful mishap, humorously describing it as “girl meets floor.”

The former Boy Meets World star displayed a large bruise on her leg, a remnant of an injury she acquired early in Season 34. She had previously mentioned tearing her hamstring during one of the rehearsals for the popular ABC show.

In a playful TikTok video, Fishel is seen serenading her bruise with Destiny’s Child’s ‘Cater 2 U’, captioning the post, “I promise my leg feels better than it looks.”

Teaming up with professional dancer Pasha Pashkov, Fishel disclosed in the second week, during ‘One-Hit Wonders Tonight’, that she had suffered a “snapped tendon.” Fortunately, it was a condition that didn’t necessitate surgical intervention, and she was under a doctor’s care to manage the injury.

She explained on Entertainment Tonight, “I got this hamstring tear right here in the dance studio, then went for a deep tissue massage which ended up bursting every blood vessel at the back of my leg.”

Fishel added, joking about how her co-star Val reacted upon seeing her leg during a costume fitting, “He was like, ‘What in the flesh-eating disease is that on your leg?’ It looks wild, but honestly, I feel really good. I’ve been super proactive about taking care of it because I don’t want this injury to cut my time on the show short.”

Fishel reassured everyone, “I’ll take a good long rest once the playoffs are done.”

Despite her setback, Fishel performed the cha-cha-cha to Corona’s ‘The Rhythm of the Night’, earning a score of 19 for the episode. Looking ahead, ‘TikTok Night’ next week features her and Pashkov dancing the foxtrot to ‘Manchild’ by Sabrina Carpenter, which airs Tuesday at 8pm ET on ABC.
