Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa are reuniting on HGTV for a new competitive series titled The Flip Off.
HGTV has scheduled the series premiere for Wednesday, January 29 at 8 p.m. ET and has unveiled a teaser that offers a glimpse into the personal tensions behind the scenes.
During the production of the show, Haack shared news of her split from her husband Josh Hall, with the cameras capturing her emotional breakdown as she informed her former husband, El Moussa.
In one poignant scene, El Moussa visits Haack at her residence to check on her welfare.

“No, Josh and I are officially done,” Haack reveals. “We had a major fight… he was throwing middle fingers in my face. Things with Josh have been deteriorating for a while.”
Haack, who shares two children with El Moussa, confided in him that her children encouraged her to leave Hall, saying, “They told me he’s not good to me. Why should I stay?”
“I constantly feel like I’m caught in a whirlwind and I just can’t escape,” Haack continued, breaking down into tears. “Everything since like 2016 has been so tough and so terrible. It’s really taken a heavy toll on me.”
Haack and El Moussa initially parted ways in 2016 but continued their collaboration on HGTV’s Flip or Flop until its conclusion in 2022 due to their irreconcilable differences. El Moussa tied the knot with Selling Sunset star Heather Rae and they welcomed a baby in 2023. Haack married car aficionado and TV host Ant Anstead in 2018 and they had a son, but the marriage ended in 2020. Haack later married Hall in 2021, only to separate earlier this year.
The Flip Off was initially planned to feature Haack and El Moussa along with their respective partners, Heather and Hall, competing in house flipping. However, HGTV states that “an unexpected life change will introduce a dramatic twist. With more at stake now, Christina will lean on her trusted crew, determined to outdo Tarek’s incessant boasts and outperform him in his own flipping domain.”
Celebrity guest judges appearing on The Flip Off include The Real Housewives of Orange County celebrity Heather Dubrow, Haack and El Moussa’s moms Dominique and Laurie, Ant Anstead, Izzy Battres, Jeff Lawrence, and Jeff Lewis.
In the extended two-hour premiere, Tarek will kick off the rivalry on the soccer field, challenging Christina. They will set the competition rules, starting with a one-week deadline to find and buy their flip properties. After an intense property search, Christina will confront Tarek with the news of her divorce and her decision to proceed in the contest alone. She will request additional time from Tarek and Heather to finish the kitchen renovations, which will be judged by designer Heather Dubrow, and she will offer them an early look at her project.
