John Oliver On Trump Mentions In Epstein Emails: “Even The Guy Running The Pervert Express To Crime Island Thinks That You Are A D—”

Similar to a recent SNL episode, John Oliver has brought up the latest disclosure of 20,000 pages of Jeffrey Epstein’s emails, in which Donald Trump is frequently mentioned.

At the start of his show, Oliver referred to an email where the infamous financier labeled the former President as the most terrible person he knows, describing him as “dangerous” and claiming he doesn’t have “a single decent cell in his body.”

“Wow, that’s a tough look,” Oliver commented, “When the man who orchestrates trips to the ‘island of the illicit’ thinks you’re a jerk, that’s really got to hurt.”

Oliver went on, “I get that Trump might be impervious to embarrassment, but seriously, at some point he’s going to see his reflection and think: ‘No one as bad as me? The captain of the sinister sea voyages thinks I’m the worst? Damn, that’s harsh.’”

Oliver also took a jab at TV personality Megyn Kelly for her controversial remarks where she claimed that Epstein wasn’t a pedophile since his interest was primarily in teenage girls, not younger children.

“I’m used to delivering shocking statistics to my audience, but please end me if I ever begin calculating pedophile distinctions,” he declared.

The late-night host then shifted focus to the main theme of the evening, which was the significance of government-supported, free, and independent public media. This comes in the wake of significant cuts by the Trump administration. Near the end of his season finale, Oliver, with the help of Joel McHale, introduced the show’s inaugural auction to benefit public media. The auction, running until November 24, features items like a large bronze sculpture of Lyndon B. Johnson’s testicles, Russell Crowe’s jockstrap from Cinderella Man, and an original Bob Ross painting titled “Cabin at Sunset.”

In a recent twist in the Epstein document release saga, Trump has urged House Republicans to vote in favor of making the documents public in the upcoming congressional vote on Tuesday.

Last Week Tonight is set to return in February 2026.
