Over 100,000 Kitchen Faucets Sold on Amazon Recalled for High Lead Levels

On May 29, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall notice for three types of kitchen sink faucets available on Amazon.com due to potential risks to children.

The faucets, which bear the brand names VFAUOSIT, KICIMPRO, and BASDEHEN, were found to contain lead levels that could be especially dangerous to infants and young children, according to the CPSC’s announcement.

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention highlights that children under six years old are particularly vulnerable to the detrimental health impacts of lead, which include severe brain and nervous system damage.

Fortunately, as of the announcement date, there have been no reported incidents of lead poisoning from these products.
