At the 2026 ACE Eddie Awards, held at UCLA’s Royce Hall, Warner Bros’ films Sinners and One Battle After Another, along with Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, emerged as the evening’s big winners in the film categories. The complete list of winners is provided below.
Michael P. Shawver, editor of Sinners, clinched the Eddie for Best Edited Feature Drama, while Andy Jurgensen of One Battle secured the Feature Comedy award. Both editors are nominees for Best Editing at the upcoming Academy Awards on March 15, competing against other notable editors such as Stephen Mirrione (F1), Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Marty Supreme), and Olivier Bugge Coutté (Sentimental Value).
Historically, winners of the Eddie for Best Edited Theatrical Drama have often gone on to win the Oscar for Best Editing—14 out of 26 times since the 21st century began. However, this trend has only been seen once in the last five years with Oppenheimer. Last year, Wicked and Emilia Pérez took top honors at the Eddies, with Sean Baker from Anora winning the Oscar for Best Film Editing.
The first major film award of the night was bestowed upon Nathan Schauf for Best Edited Animated Feature for KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix film that recently dominated the Annie Awards and garnered a VES Award.
In television, HBO Max’s The Pitt won Best Edited Drama Series following its Emmy win in September, and HBO’s The Penguin took home the Limited Series award. Apple TV’s The Studio, another Emmy recipient from 2025, won for Single Camera Series, while the now-concluded CBS series Frasier won in the Multi-Camera category.
The documentary awards were presented first, with The Perfect Neighbor winning the film category and HBO’s Pee-wee as Himself securing the TV category.
Other awards included the editors of the controversial “Twisted Christian” episode of South Park for Best Edited Animated Series, the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special for Variety Talk/Sketch Show or Special, Conan O’Brien Must Go for Non-Scripted Series, and All the Empty Rooms for Best Edited Short. A Winter’s Song claimed the prize for Best Edited Feature Film (Non-Theatrical).
A few special accolades were also given out during the evening. Two-time Oscar winner Ang Lee was honored with the ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award. His distinguished career includes directing films such as Life of Pi and Brokeback Mountain, along with other notable works like Gemini Man, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, and Lust, Caution.
Emmy-winning editor-director Arthur Forney, known for his extensive work on the Law & Order franchise, accepted one of the two ACE Career Achievement awards, presented by franchise stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni. Oscar-nominated editor Robert Leighton received the other, recognized for his collaborations with Christopher Guest and Rob Reiner on films such as A Few Good Men and The Princess Bride.
The ACE Visionary Award was presented to YouTube, with Kim Larson, Managing Director and Head of the Creator and Gaming team, accepting the award. The recognition was presented by Michele Khare, host of the popular YouTube docuseries Challenge Accepted.
The ceremony included a touching In Memoriam segment and was hosted by Deli Boys star Asif Ali.
