Sydney Sweeney “Not Opposed” To Starring In ‘Barbie’ Sequel With Margot Robbie; Teases ‘Euphoria’ Season 3 As “Wild Ride”

Sydney Sweeney has expressed her admiration for Margot Robbie and is open to the idea of joining a potential Barbie sequel.

During a recent conversation, the actress from Anyone but You mentioned that she would be thrilled to act alongside Robbie, saying she would “definitely consider it.”

“I would need to see the script first, but I’m a really big fan of Margot [Robbie], so I would definitely consider it,” she stated in a discussion with Bustle.

While Warner Bros. has shown interest in creating a sequel to Barbie, Margot Robbie herself has reservations about the feasibility of a follow-up movie.

“The movie was crafted with everything we had. We didn’t design it to be part of a trilogy or anything long-term,” Robbie explained to the Associated Press in a November 2023 interview. “Greta invested her all into this film, so imagining what comes next is quite difficult.”

Sweeney also provided updates on the much-anticipated third season of Euphoria, which has resumed production after several delays.

“It’s amazing to return. It’s like being back with my original family,” Sweeney shared. “Since I was 20, we’ve been together. A lot of the crew from the first two seasons are still around. It feels like a big family reunion.”

Regarding what fans can expect from her character Cassie, she remarked, “Oh, it’s going to be intense. Cassie’s journey took some truly surprising turns that shocked me. I’m really excited for everyone to see what’s in store.”
