And Now Let’s Go To Gene Simmons With The Weather: Cloudy With A Chance Of Fireballs

With a rainy spell hitting Los Angeles recently, who better to turn to for a weather update than the legendary Gene Simmons of Kiss?

The iconic bassist and vocalist made a memorable appearance on Fox 11 last Thursday, delivering a weather forecast with a flair that only a rock star could bring.

As viewers were treated to a stunning Malibu sunset backdrop, the show’s anchor promised a unique weather segment and introduced meteorologist Adam Krueger. Krueger, in turn, welcomed Simmons with a nod to his minimal meteorological experience: “Gene, let’s see what you’ve got for the weather today.” Dressed in a baseball cap, sunglasses, and his signature leather attire, Simmons certainly looked the part.

Simmons wasted no time in engaging with Krueger, quipping, “You actually look better in person than on TV,” to which Krueger responded, “You look great either way.” Simmons confidently replied, “I know that.”

The three-minute segment unfolded on a brisk evening, dispelling any thoughts that Simmons’ delivery might warm up the chill in the air. Instead, the forecast was as chilly as one of Kiss’s famous tracks, “Cold Gin.”

Throughout the segment, Simmons and Krueger exchanged playful banter, with Simmons improvising remarks about the weather conditions. The segment even featured a brief moment of Simmons rapping towards the end.

Simmons, who co-founded Kiss in New York back in 1973, has enjoyed a monumental career with the band, selling over 22 million records in the U.S. and thrilling fans with explosive live performances. Following Kiss’s last performance in December, which marked the end of their storied journey, Simmons now finds himself with some free time.

However, the rock star isn’t one to fade quietly into the background. He’s gearing up for a solo tour that kicks off on April 3 at the House of Blues in Anaheim and will continue through May 24.
