‘Pluribus’ Features Surprise Cameo From Albuquerque Mayor

As Vince Gilligan continues to develop his Albuquerque-based television saga, the appearance of a familiar face in the latest episode is hardly unexpected for his devoted viewers.

This past weekend, viewers of Pluribus in New Mexico were taken aback to see Mayor Tim Keller appear in the latest episode titled ‘Please, Carol’ as a politician who joins a group of overly positive characters.

“Do I know you?” asks Carol, played by Rhea Seehorn, to a mysterious group helping clean her yard after a recent disaster. She suddenly realizes, “You’re the f***ing mayor.”

In an intriguing twist, it turns out the actor is the actual mayor of the city where the show is filmed. “Thank you for your vote,” Keller responds to her.

Viewing Details

“That’s the actual mayor of Albuquerque lmaoooo,” a keen viewer commented on X.

“Can’t believe it was the ACTUAL real mayor! best show by far,” exclaimed another fan.

“Getting the actual Mayor of Albuquerque, to play the role of Mayor, of Albuquerque in a fictional series is wild,” remarked another viewer.

Gilligan’s connection to Albuquerque is well-established, having previously shot the iconic series Breaking Bad (2008-2013) and its spinoff Better Call Saul (2015-’22) in the New Mexican city.
