‘In The Know’ Animated Series Canceled By Peacock

BREAKING NEWS: Peacock has officially pulled the plug on In the Know, its initial venture into the realm of adult animation that featured a mix of stop-motion and real-life interviews. The debut series was a creative collaboration involving Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, Silicon Valley), Zach Woods (Silicon Valley, The Office), and Brandon Gardner.

This satirical take on public radio followed the production of a fictional NPR show hosted by “third most popular host” Lauren Caspian. On this show, Caspian engaged in thorough interviews with a variety of guests including Kaia Gerber, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Mike Tyson, Hugh Laurie, and Jorge Masvidal, among others.

The series boasted a voice cast featuring Woods, Judge, Caitlin Reilly, Charlie Bushnell, J. Smith Cameron, and Carl Tart. The six-episode series made its debut on January 25, 2024, following Peacock’s announcement two years prior that it was entering the adult animation space, already populated by competitors like Netflix and Paramount+.

Woods and Gardner took on roles as co-showrunners and also served as executive producers. Additional executive production was handled by Judge, Daniels, and Dustin Davis from Bandera Entertainment, along with Alexander Bulkley and Corey Campodonico from Shadowmachine.

In the Know was a joint production between Universal Television and Bandera Entertainment, which is owned by Judge and Greg Daniels.
