NBC Sets Details For 2025 Rose Parade; Hoda Kotb & Al Roker Return As Hosts; Billie Jean King To Serve As Grand Marshal

NBC to Air 136th Rose Parade

NBC is set to broadcast the 136th Rose Parade, a tradition now in its 98th year on the network, from Pasadena, California. The event, sponsored by Honda, is scheduled for live airing on Wednesday, January 1, from 8-10 a.m. PT (11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET). Additionally, the parade will be available on Peacock for simultaneous viewing.

This year, viewers will enjoy commentary from Today show’s co-anchor Hoda Kotb and the beloved weather and feature anchor Al Roker. Broadcasting from their usual spot at “TV Corner” at the intersection of Orange Grove Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, Roker celebrates his 26th anniversary as host of the parade.

Billie Jean King, the renowned tennis legend and advocate for women’s rights, has been chosen as the Grand Marshal for this year’s Rose Parade.

Produced by Live Digital Entertainment, the parade will showcase an impressive lineup including 39 floats adorned with roses, 16 equestrian teams, and 24 marching bands from across the globe. The festivities will kick off with a flyover by a B-2 Spirit, followed by a vibrant display featuring hundreds of performers, and the Rose Queen accompanied by her Rose Court.

How to Watch

NBCUniversal is enhancing the viewing experience by offering the full NBC broadcast with live audio descriptions through the Secondary Audio Program channel (SAP), thanks to services provided by Descriptive Video Works. This feature will include additional audio narration to help describe the visual spectacle of the parade for those who require it.

The event’s production will be led by executive producers Eddie Delbridge and Shaun Smith.
