‘The Forsytes’ Renewed For Season 3 At PBS Masterpiece

BREAKING NEWS: The Forsytes, a historical drama series, has been given the green light for a third season even before its initial debut on PBS Masterpiece.

Based on John Galsworthy’s famed novel, The Forsyte Saga, the upcoming third season is set to begin filming next month across various locations in the UK and Europe, according to sources from Deadline.

Mammoth Screen is the production company behind the series, with the first season scheduled to premiere on PBS Masterpiece on March 22. The show has already been released in the UK on Channel 5, a network owned by Paramount. The second season was completed last year.

Set in 1880s London, the series paints an expansive picture of a rich British family and stars BAFTA-winner Francesca Annis (Lillie) who portrays the tough family matriarch, Ann.

Tomlinson (One Day) appears as Louisa Byrne, a dressmaker from Soho and Jo’s early romance.

Davenport (The Morning Show) plays Ann’s competitive younger son James. Joshua Orpin (Titans) stars as James’ cunning son Soames, with Gibson (Doctor Who) as his love interest. Tom Durant Pritchard (This Is Going To Hurt) portrays Monty Dartie, James’ son-in-law.
