“Doctor Who” Unveils Exciting New Season Teaser Featuring Varada Sethu!

The beloved Doctor Who Christmas special just concluded, and fans have been given a glimpse of what’s next in the series.

With season 2 of the revitalized sci-fi series, Russell T Davies teams up with Disney as co-producer, introducing Andor star Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra. The recently released teaser, viewable above, showcases Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor in a protective role over Chandra.

The Doctor encounters Chandra and they embark on a thrilling mission to return her to Earth. However, a mysterious entity hinders their journey, forcing the time-traveling duo to confront unprecedented dangers and formidable foes.

Joining Sethu in the cast is Millie Gibson, reprising her role as companion Ruby Sunday, who is also featured in the trailer. Strictly Come Dancing champion Rose Ayling-Ellis is another new addition to the upcoming season.

The trailer debuts following the Christmas special titled Joy to the World, starring Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan. This special unveiled a hidden portal to a Time Hotel, revealing a perilous scheme that spanned across the planet.

The second season of the reimagined Doctor Who is slated to premiere in the upcoming months. During this time, Disney will determine whether to continue its investment in the franchise. Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf in collaboration with BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer. Davies serves as showrunner and executive producer, with additional executive producers Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter.
