Bill Maher has a pointed message for Skydance leadership following the Paramount-Warner Bros merger.
During the latest broadcast of Real Time, Maher called on the Ellisons to disregard Trump’s disparaging comments about him now that they are at the helm of HBO, his program’s network.
“With the merger finalized, Paramount now controls Warner Discovery, which oversees HBO, essentially meaning they own me,” Maher joked in his opening monologue. “To my new overlords, ignore whatever Trump tweets about me. Did you catch his remarks this weekend? He mocked my show’s ratings, calling them ‘pathetically low.’”
Maher retorted, “Well, Mr. President, your slurs roll right off me. Say whatever you want, just leave out my Cornell education.”

A federal judge recently approved the massive $110 billion transaction, dismissing a lawsuit from several state Attorneys General who attempted to stall the merger on antitrust grounds.

David Ellison, CEO, announced that the merged entity will operate under the name Skydance, maintaining Paramount and Warner Bros. as distinct units within the larger conglomerate.
